The authors of "Keep Investment Simple and Stupid" Series were invited to the largest Book Festival at South East Asia to hold a "Meet the Authors" session. Popular BookFest@Malaysia is held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. It is unfortunate that Benny Lee is unable to join us as he is helping to organize a church camp at Taman Negara. Meanwhile, Jonathan Quek and I had much fun sharing and interacting with the audience.

I got the chance to share on "5 Elements of Successful of Successful Investors" while Jon shared his insight on the secrets behind central banks and the role that Gold and Sliver will play in the years to come.

In other news, Popular has mi-spelt my name and all my Malaysian partners were so amused by this that they started to call me "Xiao Lye" from that day on... <Face Palm>

5 Elements of Successful Investors now availble at Singapore's Kinokuniya Bookstores

I was informed by my published the day before that the "5 Elements of Successful Investors" is on sale at all the Kinokuniya bookstores in Singapore. I was very excited as many of my Singaporean friends have been asking me when will my book ever be sold in Singapore. I went over to Kinokuniya to look for 5 Elements at the local author section. I was initially disappointed that I couldn't find the book and thought that the bookstore had not stocked the book yet. I went over to the international author section and was pleasantly surprised to find 5 Elements sitting beside some of the most famous international investment authors! I absolutely love the idea of being branded as an international author despite being a Singaporean. Ha Ha.

What Goes Up Must Come Down..

Sir Issac Newton
"Whats goes up must come down"

This quote by Issac Newton describe one of the important physical phenomena on Earth and it is also an accurate of any financial markets. However, the US stock market in recent days, seems to be defying this basic law of financial markets.

The S&P500 has been correction free for the last 1000 days (A correction is a fall of more than 10%). To put into context, the US stock market falls more than 10% on average every 115 days (Data since 1900). In summary, it has been a very long long time since the US stock market has any significant pullback and this makes me very very worried.
